Unexplained Infertility

Unexplained infertility is when there are no obvious reasons for infertility in either partner. Such patients have good eggs with regular ovulation, normal sperm parameters, open fallopian tubes, etc. The incidence of unexplained infertility is around 10%. Chances of conception are around 1-4% by normal cycle. However, spontaneous conception can occur. It is better to consult a fertility specialist in such cases.

A fertility specialist can evaluate and differentiate the factors responsible for the inability to conceive, and based on the results, they may recommend hormonal, surgical, or nonsurgical treatment. If detected early, unexplained Infertility can be resolved easily through medical treatments, or ART. IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) is one of the forms of ART and very commonly used in treating unexplained infertility. It is better to switch over to IVF early as chances for conception are higher as the patients with unexplained infertility usually have healthy eggs and sperm. Maintaining a good lifestyle, healthy lifestyle, exercise, meditation, and yoga can improve the chances of IVF success.
